This has been a rather strange Summer for me. I got to experience AK up-close & personal, which is always better then doing it from TV or magazines. I sorta had 2 part-time jobs while I was there. First I worked at Wendy's, which was within walking distance from the hostel I was staying in. I quit that job when the Winter community ended at the hostel and everyone had to move out..to make room for the Summer visitors, that only stay a few days at a time.

Now the first time I got a job  @ GCSR(Grand Canyon South Rim...for all you newbies) I had been living in a strangers house with no real job at all, in Tampa,FL. I had been bouncing around from place to place & state to state for awhile. Which was fine with me back then. I usually only stayed somewhere for 2-3 months at a time. Something always came up and I was forced to move on. But moving on so much had it's advantages...you didn't collect alot of stuff and you never got to know…

I sorta overheard yesterday about a position opening up in the library of the Park Headquarters in GCSR. The job won't be available until August 22nd. So today I asked them for an application.
