Living & Working in Great Places
This has been a rather strange Summer for me. I got to experience AK up-close & personal, which is always better then doing it from TV or magazines. I sorta had 2 part-time jobs while I was there. First I worked at Wendy's, which was within walking distance from the hostel I was staying in. I quit that job when the Winter community ended at the hostel and everyone had to move out..to make room for the Summer visitors, that only stay a few days at a time.

Now the first time I got a job @ GCSR(Grand Canyon South Rim...for all you newbies) I had been living in a strangers house with no real job at all, in Tampa,FL. I had been bouncing around from place to place & state to state for awhile. Which was fine with me back then. I usually only stayed somewhere for 2-3 months at a time. I sorta overheard yesterday about a position opening up in the library of the Park Headquarters in GCSR. The job won't be available until August 22nd. So today I asked them for an application.

ok, someone else here @ GCSR just made their bucket list a couple days ago with things that she wants to do at the Grand Canyon before she leaves the park in July....so I figured "hey that's a good idea--seeing as there are things I still have not done."
