"The more intensely we feel about an idea or a goal, the more assuredly the idea, buried deep in our subconscious, will direct us along the path to its fulfillment." - Earl Nightingale
The article explains her style of goal setting and is worthy of… Continue

Kari Quaas Outstanding in the Field

Last night we had the great fortune of attending one of the most interesting and scenic meals out in Carnation, WA. The dinner was put on by a group called Outstanding in the Field, founded by Jim Denevan. Outstanding in the Field, to quote their website, "is a roving culinary adventure - literally a restaurant without walls." The food is locally grown and is eaten at a very large table in a field. It was AWESOME!… Continue

Tammy W Anxious for summer season!

Funny. I thought it would take several weeks after leaving my job at Grand Canyon South Rim for me to even want to think about what lies ahead. I had already accepted my next assignment, retail associate at Jackson Lake Lodge in Grand Teton NP, before leaving, but I didn't really know much about it except for the stunning images I've seen of the area. But I went ahead and posted a thread asking about working for GTLC, and so far I have heard nothing but positive replies! It sounds like a great p… Continue

Kari Quaas What If...?

It's that time of the year when many decisions are made and "what ifs" are front and center. I am starting to see a lot of action on this network regarding questions from job seekers about whether or not they are making the right choice for the summer of 2008. Have I chosen the right summer job? Will I hate it? Will I love it? Which location is better? Is anyone else going there too? AM I MAKING THE RIGHT CHOICE? I've been around the block long enough to know that no one wants to make a b… Continue
