I was wondering if anyone has worked at Lake Powell and stayed in their employee housing? If so, any information provided would be very much appreciated. Thanks!
As I prepare for my season working as an ATV guide in Denali National Park, I am getting my travel arrangements aka airline tickets lined up, getting my packing list for things I will be bringing finalized (2 suitcase maximum), mentally preparing for a summer adventure in Denali, and anxiously waiting for my arrival and first day I can start meeting guests and exploring Denali on ATV's. What are you doing to prepare as your final countdown to your summer of 2014 approaches? Care to share any…Continue
I have just over a month to go befpre I head to Yellowstone National Park. I have started going through to process of getting everything I need for the season and making a list of items I will need to get. I have also been trying to get as much rest as possible because I know it will be a busy summer in Yellowstone, and I will be busy exploring the park on days off.
What preperations are you making as your season arrival date approaches? How are you mentally…Continue
I hope you are all having a wonderful start to your summer seasons; I know I am. In the short 4 days I have been in Alaska, I have been on two dog mushing trips, been on a ferry ride and seen humpback whales, dolphins and one killer whale, have moved into a great apartment with two roommates (both zipline guides as well) with a full kitchen and bathroom, have been exploring Juneau (2 days there), have been exploring Skagway (since Friday), been out hiking,…Continue
As the time nears for me to head to Alaska in 11 days, I can't help but feel a mixture of emotions. I am excited to arrive in Alaska, honored be a zipline guide for the summer, ecstatic to explore a new place, anxious about living in a town that has a year round population of 800 people, curious to see the employee housing, nervous about how I will fit in with the veteran zipline guides, interested in meeting the guests and learn where they are from, giddy to see…Continue
I hope everyone is having a pleasant holiday season. I know it is still November, but I have received a couple good leads for jobs in Alaska. I am 99% sure I will be working at Mt. McKinley as a front desk agent if I want the job. I am also considering other jobs with other companies in Alaska as well. One thing for sure, I will be spending the summer of 2012 in Alaska. Is anyone else going to be working in Alaska next summer? If so, what will you be doing?…Continue
I haven't been on in a couple weeks because I have been getting adjusted to the new climate and keeping busy planning exciting employee activities for the staff for the months of June and July. I am doing good out here and enjoying some "BEAUTIFUL" scenary. I hope everyone is doing well. If anyone is still looking for work, you can call up here and talk to the HR Department. It is amazing here. We have all kinds of trips from over night white water rafting…Continue
