Ready to take flight.

The summer is season is upon!

As the cold of winter fades to spring, as it will to summer. I feel myself readying for my trip north again, as if an inner migratory behavior has come over me.

My winter was cold and dark, filled with spots of warmth. As I feel myself began the thaw, my bags are packed, but I know I will be going over it once more.

This year I shall be spending my third season in Alaska. I have come to find a position within Kenai…

Corporate slave Vs. Family owned operations

I find myself asking this question, I have just looked at the app for a DNC position and found the app to be well shocking. I do know that companies need to know who is going to be working form them for the season. But do you really need to know everywhere I have lived in the last five years. I have been a corporate slave once in my life and that was for Vail Resorts and well that left a bad taste in my mouth. I find these companies to be turn and burn when it comes to employees. I have spent… Continue

The Interview was your basic one, with questions in the range of what does the temp of this need to be at and what does this need to cook for. The standard serve safe questions. Also how do you think you would fit in living at the bottom of the world. Then on to my management style and so forth. But I am happy on how this went, now I am at the stage of… Continue

Why would someone want to work at place nicknamed the ICE?

So I have started the process of landing a gig in the most extreme locale of my life. Antarctica, the real land of the midnight sun and ice. I have already filled out the application, which is your standard form. I heard back from HR very quickly. which is always nice. I was within talks in a two day period. After talking with HR, I was told my info would be sent to the chef and low and behold I heard back the next day! NANA moves pretty fast. They sent me a packet to review of what to look… Continue

You send all those email with resume maybe a photo and a nice little cover letter trying to sale your self to a company. Now I am at my second stage on some jobs and no word on others.
