i realize my first pic may not be exactly the kind of picture you were expecting me to take of the wilds of iowa. i've got more (the vast majority of them not significantly wilder than this, but whatever), and i'll put them up slowly over the next few weeks when i can. at least, that's the plan, especially if i go mushroom hunting for morels OMGSOGOOD. plus, 'shrooms are nicely graphic. come to think of it, a yellow morel picture would be a lovely counterpoint to the cave background on this… Continue

i'm living in a state - the only state - that doesn't have a national park, but that doesn't mean there isn't some recreational stuff around here to take pictures of.
i'm going to get right on that, i really am. right now i've been concentrating on writing and working at a boring 9-5 job, but my eyes are starting to cross, and i need a break. so, photography sounds like a good outlet.

wow! apparently i won something for being the 100th person to post a photo on my profile. since it's against my religion to allow pictures of myself, that photo isn't even of me. *grin* that's ok; the reason for my religious practice is that, apart from stealing part of my soul (my soul, i tell you), one of my superpowers is being anti-photogenic.
ironically, i'm choosing the fuji finepix camera.
