Living & Working in Great Places

I know that Terry, a long-time My CoolWorks member has worked down at the south pole, but I am wondering if anyone else has. We get excited at CoolWorks.com when we see these types of jobs come down the pike. Not to say that jobs at Yellowstone or Mt. Rainier aren't wonderful, but for some reason, jobs in Antarctica or at Palmyra Atoll just seem so exotic.

Recently Michael E. Murray contacted us via our greatjobs email and said that he did follow his dreams to Palmyra last year after we posted the Nature Conservancy jobs on our site. I couldn't be more thrilled to receive his email.

You can read about his whole experience on the following link:

I sincerely hope that the Nature Conservancy will contact us again to post these unique opportunities. Nothing pleases us more than getting to promote these cool opportunities and then hearing from YOU about your experiences doing them and living out your dreams. So, please keep sharing your stories here and tell about those unique experiences and even the simple day to day stuff. We're all in this seasonal world together and all of us at CoolWorks.com appreciate your willingness to share with us and other folks checking out our world.

Lastly, many thanks to Michael for letting us share his experience at Palmrya. May we all be so lucky in finding these wonderful opportunities to see and experience our world.

Thanks, Stephen. Great suggestions. We are thrilled when we can offer international opportunities and especially if they are viable options for U.S. citizens. We're always on the lookout. : )

I am at McMurdo and this is my first year. I arrived back in October and am contracted until this coming October. For everyone out there, it is definitely a must do in this lifetime! Just did the winter polar plunge into the ocean two nights ago and it was awesome!!

I think that your exposure to Int'l jobs is great. Keep it up. I think that if you could advertise jobs in foreign countries and also what the visa and passport reqirements are this could really take off. There are alot of people in the 19 to 25 range who want to explore the world. Im 45 and I do have that itch to scratch. expand on.
