Well business was sloooow yesterday, so I was sent home early. I was already scheduled to have 3 days off (Monday-Wednesday). It's that time of year where its the "calm before the storm"....hopefully we will get busy for Labor Day weekend, otherwise someone will be getting sent home early again.
But while we are slow it is easy to get extra days off, so I'm taking the shuttle bus down to Flagstaff for a couple days and stay at the hostel there. 1 bad thing about not having a car is that I have to wait for shuttles to stay at Flagstaff. It leaves the canyon this morning at 10:15am.
The shuttle I'm taking cost employees $24 if u make reservations online. There is a new Route 66 shuttle but I lost their #, so I couldn't call them in time to make reservations...Route 66 shuttle is $5 cheaper and they will also drop u off ANYWHERE in Flagstaff that u need to go.
Now I like staying at the hostel. It's downtown near the train tracks which is an convienent location and it's CHEAP--$20 for a dorm room.
While in Flagstaff, I will go pick up my new glasses at Eye Masters in the mall, and maybe get to the movie theater and see the new Julia Roberts movie.
While I'm there, I'll be looking for some new places to eat...after eating at the cafeterias here in the canyon, its always nice to find someplace new to eat.
I should go to DMV while I'm there also, seeing as this will probably be the last time this year that I will have money to go wandering around Flagstaff by myself for a few days at a time.
