Cooper Landing, Alaska is what we call Summer Camp

That pic was taken around May 1, a couple of week after spring migration. Here is the actual camp...

The tarp had been set up the night before, so it is not very tight is it!! We did several improvements after these pics were taken, including an extention on the tarp and a covering over the firepit seating. Very comfortable even on rainy, chilly days.
Just over the fence is Alaska Horseman. They have their corral further back in the property now, but we used to feed the horses snacks just feet from our firepit. They got out occasionally and would run through our camp, somehow missing all the guy lines and such every time!
Dinner on the Cabelas grille... Yum! That grill is the best. We cook at least one meal on this grill daily. Good for getting warm in the morning, eh.
