Living & Working in Great Places

I was turned down for employment for the 2008 summer season in Yellowstone, so once again I'll be seeing from afar. Those of you that are there or heading there please keep up to date on the park for me. I look forward to hearing about all the adventures.

I worked 8 yrs there. it's not hard at all but I had to break contract for personal situation and rules stipulate no matter the reason you break the contract you can't come back for a year.

Just curious, why did they turn you down? Is it hard to get in there?

I recieved the info in the mail yesterday for Grand Canyon and filled it out. I also filled out an app for GTLC so we will see how it go's. I also and as yet need to send off my app I filled out for Yellowstone with the dreaded Delaware North. I worked for them once befor and was not to fond , but It would mean getting myself back to Yellowstone. And this old yellowstone addict just can't stay away. Tetons would work to. I love that whole area. It is awsome and that word doesn't even do justice. There is no words to describe the Tetons and Yellowstone except maybe heaven. Anyway I did use your name Kathy, I hope you don't mind. Thankyou both for your help. What is Tusayan? if that is by Tuscan then I have relatives there.

Hi Brenda! How about going to Grand Teton Lodge Co.? Not that far from Yellowstone and similar work. The perks include lodging and meals for about $60/ 2 wks., horseback riding, float and whitewater trips, free golf at an awesome course, basically any activity that is offered to the guests is free for employees. The company is a good one to work for, probably my most favorite employer ever (and I'm old LOL). Check out the web site at gtlc.com and follow the links to apply for work. Feel free to use me as a reference-Kathy Brekken. Good luck and hope to see you this summer. Kat
