I thought you may enjoy seeing the weather at South Pole... we have TV's in the galley with what we call the scroll. It presents weather and station information .... and when I saw the Barometric Pressure I thought you all may like to see it.
Really at -80's it's not that bad with the 8 kts winds, but get a load of the altitude.... 11,000 ft. We especially feel the effects of the Barometric Pressure on days like today rather than the coldness.
We find ourselves saying things like, "I'm tired", "couldn't get out of bed this morning", or " I have no energy". then we look at the Barometric Pressure and say oh of course, that's why.
