My CoolWorks

Living & Working in Great Places

On July 11th 2008, Liam and Conor and I spent the entire day at Cub Scout Camp Brinkley, a four day event at the Scout camp north of Monroe Washington. The boys turned 8 on March 23rd. They had a great time on the 11th learning skills they can use when they get old enough to land a cool job with Coolworks.

Today they learned archery, how to pan for gold, swimming, and a painting craft. They got some knot tying experience yesterday, and tomorrow it will be everyone's favorite, BB guns on the firing range. They watched intently as outlaw Arkansas Jane taught them whittling skills, so that they could carry their new jacknives. By the end of our four days at camp three of our cub scouts had been to the medic with finger cuts. It takes awhile to get the knife skill down.

You're welcome Kari. I know we're not Coolworks material quite yet, but it helps the boys to get into the mindset of these great outdoor jobs early on. And maybe some Coolworks employees can see who their future round of interns might be:)
