Living & Working in Great Places

The seasonal employees have left and I am having serious abandoment issues again.... I suppose it is the herd mentality popping up.. you know, the one where everyone is getting ready to go somewhere but you? hmmm.... Accounting is being centralized here and that means that I will soon enter a new world.. where? who knows. I've applied for jobs all over the country, but with the economy being what it is, I think the employers are hiring someone that lives within the area, instead of searching outside the area. I will be sad to leave here - this has become home with the mountains on one side of my apartment and staff housing on the other. I have to keep repeating to myself - one door may close, but another one will open... just believe.

The season has changed here too... there was snow on Oct 9th or so and then it disappeared and now we have just frozen ground and colder weather.. I suppose it is time to get the winter down wear out so I won't freeze, but it also makes me wonder what will happen once I return to the South. Does my acclimitization to the Western clime mean I will be like those who are from this region walking around in December in Texas in short sleeves and shorts cause they don't think it is cold outside at 20 degrees? Guess I'll find out soon enough. I hope it doesn't get as deep as it did this last spring before I leave... I get so tired of shoveling snow.

Critter thinks the snow is just awesome though until it gets past his knees... have you ever notice how short a daschund's knees are?

Life goes on.. Coolworks rocks and so will I.

Happy trails, Y'all...
