Thanks for being here! The six of us at CoolWorks welcome you and wish you success in finding your Jobs in Great Places®!

Soooo, I'm hanging out at a local Douglas spot called Louie's when a man sitting next to me started to ask me about fishing. After explaining to him that I had no commercial experience but I dream of fishing for a living (and that I'm trying for a crab-fishing job for the winter), I was offered a position as a crew member. I found out from several friends that the man has an excellent reputation as fair and very capable.... He is willing to teach everything from the basics to driving the boat in blue water. This produces a conundrum for me however because I like my current employer and I know that she really needs a reliable and experienced server, which I provide. Leaving will make things really difficult for her. I also started with her not long ago and I don't like to leave a position early unless the employer does something to earn it. But this is the dream job I have been pursuing for quite a while.... So what should I do? Take an opportunity that drops in my lap or stay and help where it is really needed? I feel it is kind of mean to quit so early, but I don't want to waste such an opportunity. Decisions, decisions, decisions.......

Your thoughts are always welcome :0).... but I have decided on the fishing job. I am burned out on the restaurant industry, so this is a welcome opportunity to make good $$$ while doing something new (and trying something I have always wanted to do).
I will still help Pizza Verona by helping when available and by teaching the owner how to use my computer for her business records...(I am teaching her how to use Open Office to keep her records and for correspondence.) I will teach her more when she has learned the neccessary basics. I hope you are doing well.... cheers Scott {BTW- did you see a pic of my car (home)?}
