After another outstanding day of non-stop, mind bending driving I am settling my weary bones in Cheyenne. I can't believe I am actually in Wyoming! One clue might be the 45 deg temperature outside right now (yep, this Texas boy is freezing his tootoo off ALREADY and the temperature is dropping). When I get to Yellowstone I might just park myself on a stove for a while and thaw out. The upside is the two cases of beer in the back of the truck are getting nicely chilled :-) One of the real joys of this trip is getting to completely unload the pickup truck every evening and repack it the next morning. I am really beginning to wonder what total idiot came up with that God forsaken packing list (opps....me?) I can't close out today's episode without mentioning the $7.50 in highway tolls I paid for the priviledge of driving PAST the entrance to Denver's Stapleton Airport. I am certain the Garmin GPS people are getting a cut of this legitimized highway robbery, because my GPS faithfully led me right into their "trap". I've decided NOT to take the GPS when hiking in Bear country....it does not seem to have my best interests programmed in it's memory bank. Until tomorrow...be way Cool.
