Bike Tour: What we think we need to start.


  1. Panniers :
  2. Gaby needs front and rear rack, front rear and handle bar panniers. (searching craigslist asap.)
  3. T needs front rack, front and handle bar panniers. (again searching craigslist)
  4. Helmets
  5. Light *for night riding.
  6. Milk crates
  7. Water bottle holders *I think 3 each
  8. Rim * T's is bend
  9. Air pump *for on the road
  10. Multi tool kit * For me I loose everything.
  11. Florida Map
  12. Something for protection. * Maybe a knife or gun?
  13. Clothes * I think I want to get some shirts made.

  14. Food * of course
    I'm not sure what clothes to take but I no I need those butt pad shorts! Wouldn't it be wonderful if they made me look like I had hips… Hmmmm I'll have to see about that.

The planning part has been lots of fun so I hope the tour is even better. I'm looking for long routes. I do plan on camping but I'm hoping to be somewhere with showers and stuff every 3rd day. Friends family or just people willing to offer up a place along the way. I think the hardest thing for me so far has been trying to figure out the route. Google maps has walking directions but not biking. So far I have my florida route but nothing else yet. Anyway you should jump on a bike and join us for a city or a couple states.

Sounds like fun. I've always wanted to just backpack/hike all around. are you looking for short routes or something for a while? Are you planning on camping along the way?
