Back in good ole Gardiner, Montana, aka the worldwide headquarters for CoolWorks.com, I spent the day in the office with B and P.
The Web Shack
My desk when I work at the Shack. Much cleaner than my desk at home.....
This is the day we learned about Farrah Fawcett's passing and then saw a tweet that said something like celebrity deaths always come in threes..... Just about that moment, P read that Michael Jackson was taken to the hospital in a coma....... Then, an hour passes and he's dead. Shock. My youth flashing before my eyes. Unbelievable. Even today, July 13, it's still hard to register.
Besides that madness, Patty and I had a lovely lunch down at Tumbleweeds in G-Town.
While we were waiting I popped my head in some of the local gift shops and found two very interesting things.
This super cool model of the yellow Yellowstone buses, which is now properly displayed in our curios case...with the many other buses (ehem, motorcoaches).
I also found evidence of the jackalope. I always knew they existed. ; )
Collette, the ranger, joined us at the SOD (Shack of Dreams) that night and we shared the Chinese food, photos, and the NBC news coverage of Farrah and Michael. What a wild day.
Friday, June 26
This day, we, both B and I got packed up for our trips. B to FL and me to WA. We had one more CW Meetup on the schedule so we loaded up the pups and headed to Bozeman.
There we finally met in person, dear Jason Kemple, who is a genuinely sweet guy.
We re-joined Kathi and then there were 3 CoolWorkers. : )
After a lovely and tasty lunch with B, Collette, Jason, Kathi and me, B left to leave on a jet plane and then there were 2. It was fun to hear about Jason's adventures this far with Montana Conservation Corps. I certainly hope that summer arrived after our visit!
Another great meetup has ended and I'm already looking forward to the next. I treasure our team and feel so privileged to work with these incredible people.
Clockwise from left: Patty, Eric, Bill, Kathi and me (Kari) : )
Thanks to B, K, P & E for a great mini-vacation in the park and thanks for all of you for being here and taking advantage of all the world has to offer! Until next time, cheers!

Rather than looking for folks with established river skills, we are simply looking for physically fit men and women that learn quickly, aren’t afraid of hard work, are fun outgoing and people oriented, and have an eye for detail.
