Thanks for being here! The six of us at CoolWorks welcome you and wish you success in finding your Jobs in Great Places®!

They say its variety, but I've found its all about the new. The adventure.

I get tired of just switching it up, tonight pizza, tomorrow, roast beef.

How about some serious Discovery? Drive to a new place, eat food you've never even heard of?

Same goes for the work site, job discription, friends and fauna.

Its a delight to explore, to learn something new. New.

Discovery. Adventure. Its addictive.

Wanderlust...that's what some people tell me I have.  That word seems to have a negative connotation, but you expressed the idea nicely.  I find that with each and every new place I discover, through my myriad endeavors I discover something new about myself, as I discover the new and interesting social environment as well.

Have you tried making some fresh ravioli, filled with braised short ribs, in a beefy bechamel?

Roast beast pizza. Catch one wild beasty, skin, de-gut, cut in pieces. Cook.

Place on top of a loaf of bread. Smother with cheese.

Forget Betty Ford... just stay addicted. Every year I discover new
things... Once I was called a dinosaur while working @ JLL and didn't
get it. Apparently I'm supposed to give this up... not!!! When my spirit
says settle, I will (and that time will come). But until then there is
too much to discover. Such as a huge sailing community at the "end of
the world" where the pacific, antarctic, and atlantic meet around
Argentina (nowhere left for them to sail?). From a seasonal worker I met
who has traveled far more than I...  Carol...you forgot to mention the ultimate dish; Korean kim Chee.  :0)  incredible stuff...

Nice Carol. For me it is Adventure. It is addictive and I am addicted. Can't wait to start the next one this summer.

"tonight pizza, tomorrow roast beef" ... wow ... profound.  Just amazing what springs forth from the mind of a cook.  But was the pizza extra thin crust, sicilian, or chicago style deep dish?  Carol never tells us .... it's up to us to discover these things on our own.  Luckily there aren't too many types of "roast beef" (thank God). At my next job I'm not making friends without checking out their fauna also ... could affect our relationship.  After my summer 2011 in AK I may have to go to seasonal worker rehab to work on my addiction.  Let Betty Ford know I'm coming.

A social network for those who want to compare and share their work and life experiences in great places.
