I woke up to the news this morning that Homer's famous Eagle Lady had died last night @ 85. She fed Eagles for years on the Homer Spit; She even had a personal spot at Lands End Resort reserved for her. She was sick for a good part of the summer... but blessed to be where she loved to be. See this news link to learn a little bit about this unique lady who so loved the eagles and made Homer Spit a special spot for photographers. We will miss her...

That is very sad. I heard a lot about her when I went to Homer this past summer.
