Thanks for being here! The six of us at CoolWorks welcome you and wish you success in finding your Jobs in Great Places®!

You guys win.

Its an addiction, its killing me!

I have to go back to Yellowstone, and resume the seasonal life.

I quit my PRN hospital job, walked away from a "key " position at an "opening soon!" french restaurant, and promised myself a summer of backpacking, gardening, reading and youtubing.

But, come January, my application goes in for Yellowstone, and plan to be back at Lake early enough to see the snowbanks tall as me.

There I said It.

My name is Carol and I am a Seasonal Addict.

Thanks Trav, yes, a little moderation to this addiction! :) When do you arrive at the GE resort?

All great things in moderation, Carol ! I did Yellowstone Grant Village last year, this year it's the high country of Colorado for me, at the Glen Echo Resort... its fabumoose there. Good luck to you!

Its like I can't go down the candy aisle without buying something....so I avoid it. When I watch Yellowstone Stuff on Discovery or something, I must fire up the laptop and see if they are hiring! My god, can I make it through this year without working there.....Amanda, have you worked in Grand Canyon, Bryce or Zion?

I hear ya Carol! I myself am a seasonal addict. I've done Yellowstone three times and although I'm a child of the AZ desert, Yellowstone still calls to me somewhat. Last night on TV, I was watching a program on YNP- can't tear my eyes away even though what they have on the shows is only a fraction of what we know about it. MANDI

Akscootr....I just finished watching InTo the Wild....I love that movie. Chris did make the fatal mistake in not crossing that river but the movie speaks volumns to us wild ones. Alaska is so represented and you paint a gorgeous picture!

Aggie, the only thing keeping me from working this summer is my plans to Play! :D
You know once we start applying we will persue it relentlessly til they give us something!

It is tempting to just say to hell with it and apply somewhere ... but so far I'm still holding out :-)

Come to Alaska Carol; It is calling your name. Can't you hear it? Can't you see those tasty Salmon you caught cooking by the bonfire with freshly picked blueberries for dessert? I know you can :0)~..... Some people came in yesterday with basketloads of freshly caught shrimp and they were huge. See ya here soon heh heh heh...
