Thanks for being here! The six of us at CoolWorks welcome you and wish you success in finding your Jobs in Great Places®!

I hear your trumpeting... new season

My job at the Corps of Engineers W.G. Huxtable Pumping Plant is ending and my office on top of the river bridge is a changing.  My new job will actually be on the Mississippi River on board with the Corps of Engineers Mat Sinking Unit.  This will put me on the river from 3 to six months.  If interested, look up Managing the Mississippi on YouTube.

So I don't feel left out as all of my seasonal friends head off to their new jobs.  Happy season y'all.   See you on the river.

Nice to hear things are working out for you Ann :) I'm heading back to Mesa Verde for my 4th season there.  Just can't get enough (I guess).  Next summer (2016) I am seriously considering working in Maine at Acadia NP if I can get hired there.  Have a good summer!  Richard

American Queen still operates on the Mississippi... now is the time to get hired on her.  Home port is Memphis.

That sounds very interesting.

At one time there was a cruise barge on the Mississippi and I always thought it would be so interesting to go up and down.  But it was a next year thing.  And then they stopped when the economy collapsed.
