Luck is the Frosting On the Cake of Life

I believe in luck, but it ususally happens to those who already have a good thing going.

My life is like a cake I decided to bake. Lets see, we'll make it chocolate. Well, had that for awhile, Now I think I'll do carrot cake. I really like lemon, too,  maybe I'll do that later on.

Kinda trying different things out, and my luck has always been pretty fantastic. The icing on the cake I'm currently enjoying makes it so good.

If you aren't enjoying the cake you have, try a different one.

I love that quote, Brendan, thanks!

Optimists believe they are fortunate, or lucky people. I'm an optimist, or so I've been told. People make their own luck, too, which is different than a blessing which is bestowed.

I think a person can chose good things and then fortune comes along and tops it off, like the icing on a cake. Gothe said something to this effect, when we truely commit to something, the universe will help us in ways beyound our understanding, but if we're wishy washy, well then, the universe kind a waits us out. Boldness has genius and magic, he said.

Thoreau believed in that too, saying, A man generally achieves what he aims for, so aim high for even if we fail at first, we will achieve it in the long run.

Hey Carol, There are so many lucky situations in everyone's life all you have to do is recognize them :)

Maybe it will be Alaska for us next summer, who knows, Aggie. I'm enjoying the summer here in Georia. Hot as can be! Missed seeing you all too. Sounds like you had a great time.

Yeah, with a bunch of brown sugar, well carmelized and lovely marchino cherries in every circle of pineapple (whereby the cook gets to eat whatever is left in the jar)!

LOL, yeah, Sunni, I've got a good cake going now, and luck has given me some cream cheese frosting, the real stuff, not prefab store stuff.

Good vibes sent your way, Sunni!
