Living & Working in Great Places

Every now and then we are lucky enough to meet someone who inspires us to dream of something... Willie is that kind of friend. With many stories of his sailing adventures in S.E. Alaska he inspired me to try the adventure of living on a sailboat in S.E. Alaska. He is a great friend to many and a main reason I loved living in Juneau so much. He is the kind of "old salt" character everyone hopes to meet in Alaska.
He died last night. It re-reminded me why it is so important to LIVE and to work towards our dreams whatever they may be...... Will you always have the chance to?
For those of you going to Alaska, may you meet someone like Willie.
RIP Amigo......

Scott, my condolences for your loss. There are so many people that we meet in our lives, but only a few who really make an impact on our lives. I'm so glad you found that in your friend, Willie. May he rest in peace.
