Thanks for being here! The six of us at CoolWorks welcome you and wish you success in finding your Jobs in Great Places®!

Last year when my sons headed to Yellowstone to work for Xanterra, I knew that some how, some way, I would get there too. I've been a health care social worker for many years. I've burned the candle at both ends. As a matter of fact, my ends have met and the candle has fizzled out. So, when the stress level soars, it's time to get away to the great outdoors.

I'm 61 years old and I'm excited about cleaning rooms at the Old Faithful Inn. It will be a relief to do something physical and to actually have tasks to complete. Much of social work has no end or no results. For six months I won't have to put anyone in a nursing home or fill out endless paperwork. I'll also get to have an adventure with my family. I am so excited.

I invite you all to follow my blog at http://yellowstonedreaming.blogspot.com.

I plan on talking to other older adults who have made the decision to leave it all behind for a few months. If you haven't decided to go this year, follow my blog and see if this could be just the change of scenery you need.

Best of luck to you Judy. I will be at Ystone too but on the Lake at Bridge Bay. If I'd gotten to you first I'd have recommended the Lake area, especially the hotel. They have a great mix but many older ladies to make friends with. But if your sons are at OFI that will be great for you. Remember to leave your thoughts of creature comforts back on your own doorstep; there are none in park housing, but the beauty of the park, the people you meet and everything that goes with it make up for what is lacking (most of the time).

Make the most of it Judy ... I had my sabbatical last summer and had a really good time. I'll be anxious to read about your experiences this summer.
