Living & Working in Great Places
Valley of Fire State Park
It's Nevada's first state park which was dedicated in 1935 and it became a National Natural Landmark under the NPS in 1968. It covers an area of 34,880 acres and is located 50 miles northwest of Las Vegas. It's an easy day trip. I would recommend bringing a picnic and getting there earlier in the day so you can not only drive around the park, but also have time to hike and explore the landscape. It's really close to Lake Mead so I had to get a photo with that sign. :)
There don't seem to be many job opportunities here. They have a couple of ticket booths and the one visitor center with some gift shop staff, maintenance and rangers. It would be a great place to work though.
This is your friendly reminder not to feed the animals, even the furkins, aka chipmunks. I threw this "lunch" away before we left.
