Bartending when done right is an art. There are different note and variations in the families of alcohol. My expertise in alcohol is Japanese Beers, Local Utah beers, Mexican Beers, Tequila and Whiskey.
My favorites to work with are Tequila and Whiskey. In the different variations of each of these two families there are a range of mixed drinks that are possible. The preparation of such is a key contributor to the taste, and texture of the drink. Blended, Shaken, Rocks, Neat are all preparations that can transform a drink into another incarnation of itself.
I am also a mix master of the non alcoholic or virgin drinks. There is a virgin version of most alcoholic beverages! Limeade for example is a great substitute for Margaritas.
The cleanliness of the bar is very important. All glasses should be buffed. The dishwasher needs to be working. The system use, wash, and put away is necessary for bar glassware.
Ensuring mixes are stocked as well as toppings is key to opening creativity. Mixing when happy creates better drinks.
