I am wondering, at what point should I make a final selection about summer work? I have not received any papers in the mail to sign yet--but places keep calling asking about what I want to do for the summer...I don't want to lead anyone on but I also do not feel like getting left out in the rain if one or two places fall through. Any experiences? Advice? Opinions?

Congrats on obtaining a job..... Keep year options open and when and if you get offers, decide where you would rather spend the summer, what you would rather be doing and overall where would you be happier spending the summer.....

Thanks for the great opinion Leo, good point about being honest with the HR people. I signed a contract with Guest Services at Mount Rainier. Serving, doing dishes, cleaning etc. I enjoy dish pit type situations...so I'm fairly excited about the gig.

Marshall,

Don't take anything for granted. I say take the job you are offeredm but if you are offered other jobs, take the time to consider which job is the best fit for you and will put you in a situation to be happier. As long as you make a decision in a reasonable time, and you honest with the companies you don't accept the job for, you won;t burn any bridges which will give you an opportunity to work with them in the future. Consider the pay, location, housing, atmosphere, potential employees and job and make the decision that is best for you ok? Have a great day, and an even better summer as you prepare for a summer adventure! Good luck with your job search Marshall.....

Sincerely,

Leo
