My Pleasure, Rachelle. On Tuesday we lost power due to the tremendous wind storm that came through here. We didnt get power restored until Friday around 4 a.m. We were evacated to Grant Village for 2 nights. This weather is amazing, and powerful. They tell me it can and has snowed every day of the year, at one time or another.

I just can't get over how much snow there is. It is amazing. I hope it snows when I am there at least once. I will be in an unknown location (will know upon arrival) from June 16-August 14. Thanks again!

Thank you so much for the video! I was hoping I could see pictures of the dorms but this is even better! Thanks again. Have fun.

Good evening Carol, thank you so much for your response. I feel more relaxed now knowing that we will find ways to communicate. I can't wait to start hearing about the great Yellowstone adventure. I have enjoyed your video's and will check back here often. Thanks!

Hi Winnie, we have wifi in the rooms, so if she has a laptop, or the cell phones work up by fishing bridge. There are pay phones as well, and once you get her lounge number, you can call and ask for her. There's plenty of ways to stay in touch, and the atmospher here is great. No worries. They are going to be busy,so don't be concerned if you dont hear from her immediately. Its warming up during the days, and its melting off, the dorms and the dinning areas are plenty warm. All is good. :D

Hi Carol, my daughter will be arriving at Lake Yellowstone today, May 9. She packed for cold weather but I don't know if she expected that much snow to be on the ground. Also I as a mother am concerned as to how to communicate with her but if you posted a video there must be at least some internet service if not cell phone service. Any advice?

Tee hee .... hang in there. You will have PLENTY of opportunities for great hikes ...... from now til June ? Maybe not so much - you'll need to head up to the northern part of the park for that .... enjoy every minute of it! What's the current bet as to when the Lake will go out?

Wow, Patty, 2 feet of snow, what a trip. Thanks for the reality check. It really is beautiful, but I am hoping to hike some trails soon, without snowshoes. Thanks Kari for the compliment.
