A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 AM MDT FRIDAY.

* SUMMARY AND TIMING... A PERIOD OF HEAVY SNOW SHOWERS IS EXPECTED INTO THE EVENING HOURS ALONG WITH A FEW AFTERNOON THUNDERSTORMS. SNOWFALL RATES THIS AFTERNOON MAY EXCEED ONE INCH PER HOUR... ESPECIALLY IN THUNDERSTORMS.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS... 6 TO 12 INCHES IN THE MOUNTAINS WITH GENERALLY 3 TO 5 INCHES IN THE VALLEYS.

* WIND AND VISIBILITY... SOUTHWEST 15 TO 25 MPH... BECOMING WEST 25 TO 35 MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS POSSIBLE. VISIBILITY WILL BE AT ONE QUARTER MILE OR LESS WITH THE FALLING SNOW AND THESE WIND SPEEDS.
