I'd love to figure a way to carry my skills to Alaska, even if it was just to do handyman type things. Are you still in the PNW? I lived on Fox Island down by Gig Harbor for about 4 yrs. It is still the most beautiful place I think I have ever been.
Hey there Kari,
I spent the better part of a year tearing apart a 1905 -06 Four-square Colonial Revival down to the bare bones. I salvaged all of the original mouldings, doors and casements as well as all of the windows. During the time that the other crafts (electricians, plumbers,HVAC) were on site, I restored/ repaired the afore mentioned to like new. After the other crafts left, I put everthing back where it came from and made new pieces where needed.
Hi Kari,
Sorry for the no reply thing..the net here is spotty and we are already going into full-swing. My feet hurt! With luck, I will be able to get the 22nd off to see you-all...peace
Thank you :) I actually have had an account on here already but I can't seem to sign it to it anymore, but ah well, I made that last summer and this is a new one in a different place. With all the changes I've made the last year I might as well be a new person!
It was great meeting you yesterday. At the airport this morning I knew the difference in the coffee providers. I am at Juneau, waiting for my connecting flight. My choices of hot beverages out of the old vending machine seem a little scary now.
Ken here, stopping by to say that I like your page and the wonderful photos you've taken. Keep it up!!! I'm an inspiring photographer myself. Will persue it whenever I'm done with seasonal jobs :).
Hi Kari! I found you and then I connected with Twitter. Used the same picture! Your site is wonderful. Such good energy and across all ages! Thank you!
Thanks Kari! This is a great site. I posted a discussion in one of my groups, but have yet to have any responses so I'm a little bummed about that. But at least I found out that the summer holds so many more opportunities!
Hey Kari ,
On may 6th I will be flying up to Alaska to begin my adventure, the bad news is I have a long layover in Seattle which actually could be good, maybe we could meet and have lunch. I am scheduled to arrive in Seattle at 10:35 and have an eight hour layover!! Hopefully I will find something to do to pass the time.
