Plans changed. Karen, who was supposed to drive to WY, was very inconsistent when we were trying to plan the trip, and I thought it best to book a flight instead to avoid being stranded at the last minute w/ no transportation.
I fly to SLC Friday night and have a bus commute to Jackson later that day. HR is supposed to pick me up in Jackson that evening.
Rossman: Hey great posts and pics. I am headed up to the tetons for the summer and cant wait to get out of here in a few weeks. Leaving Denver and looking forward to working seasonal again. Did a summer in Alaska 12 years ago and had a great time in Skagway went back to the real job as friends call it and cant wait to leave it. F&B guy here now and hope to work at either Jackson or Grand targhee for the winter after Jenny lake closes in October. Any ideas or places to check out for winter work would be appreciated. Sounds like you and your wife live THE GOOD LIFE awesome. You headed back up to Alaska for the summer?
Have a great summer and safe travels.
Middleburg Hts....that's really close - I'm actually in Strongsville. The wanderlust was there before I had "fur-children". I can't bear to leave my pets behind so I have to look for more of a "career" job than seasonal. I know it's out there though! Cool that you met your wife in a setting that you both enjoy - what better way!
Yeah, I suppose I am an outdoorsy computer dude. No seasonal jobs, but living in Montana and working for such a cool company as CoolWorks gives me the best of both worlds!
Thanks for the great contributions to our world and watch for cool new stuff coming from CoolWorks in '08.
I'm up in Gardiner, at the North entrance to Yellowstone so I'm kind of local. We were visiting friends over at Moose and had to check out Targhee. Cool Works has worked with Targhee since our early days and my first trip to Targhee predates Cool Works by a lot of years. It's always been on the regional list. We had great spring day there a couple of years ago, skinning up and skiing down in May.
We hope to make it down another time or two this winter. I'll give you a heads up if that pans out. It'd be great to meet you.
I spent the weekend on Fred's Mountain and in the Trap Bar and at Snorkels. Skied Teton Pass and saw friends in Jackson and Victor too. The Teton Valley is growing fast. The Targhee snow is still good.
