I think everyone else is arriving around the same time as you are. As far as work goes, pretty much just setting the shops up for the season. Tagging merchandise, folding shirts and occasionally ringing up a customer.

Hey Denali Gift Co has been pretty good. The housing is alright and everyone at camp (all 8 of us) so far are all very good people. We all get our own pots and pans and there are full size fridges in each cabin. you're allowed to freely drink anywhere on camp(we've been doing lots of it.) When do you arrive?

yes its still chilly here. Chill in the late afternoon and nights. Also one thing here it doesnt get dark until 12am...its crazy...wait its alaska...this is so cool. lol Anyways bring a jacket and some repelant. I forget where u working again?

Had a good flight. Hotel thingg is a good idea. Airport sucked, couldn't sleep in the airport..lol this place is beautiful.

Hey, Alaska this weekend. Super exicited. Wish this week was a little longer, really nervous. Looks like ill be staying the night at the airport. Which is okay. Im with you on that.. ive started looking around trying to get ideas as to what i may want to do after september--Who knows where Ill go for the winter, the further and more random the better!! When do you head to AK?

We actually have had a pretty wet winter(for Phoenix anyways), but weather in Phoenix during the winter is hard to beat. It's when June comes around and you begin to question life. I'm glad I will be missing it this year! In regards to seasonal work, I want to research jobs in Hawaii or the Florida Keys, but my research is pretty immature at this point. I know ski resorts are the most common in the winter, but from my research, it seems that a lot of resorts are really expensive for room and board(due to high winter energy cost)...we will see as the year goes on!

I leave for denali in 8 days! p*s I'd love to go to Maine.....one of very few states that, for some reason, I have yet to visit.

Awesome! I am in Realy too! But I am working at the Grande Denali Lodge at the front desk. I've been counting down the days.. 25!! Im stoked to go, it's my first time in AK and first seasonal job too but I have a feeling its going to be a blast

hi leah! i saw that youll be in denali for the summer season too and i was wondering which location you were at? either way, im not sure if we interact with other sites too much but it wouldnt hurt to make a few acquaintences before i got there.

This is actually my first time doing the seasonal thing as well, and I too am curious about winter work. I can not come back to Phoenix!
