Hi Rose, I would be glad to share a little about the McKinley Chalet's. It is located no too far from the Denali Princess Lodge. Has a nice river that runs near the lodge. You will be in a very populated area near several large resorts. THe big draw in the Denali National Park entrance which is located near by. Lots of little shops, including a Subway restaurant, nearby. I don't know anything about the employee housing area unfortunately. Wish I could help more. You will have lots of people around from the different resorts, lots of social opportunity.
Inside of CoolWorks? Yes. Inside of Princess? Yes. I was in HR and safety when I worked for them so I wasn't a hiring manager per se, but definitely was involved with hiring and employee relations, etc.
My first seasonal gig was driving a bus and that lead down the path to where I am now. It's been a fun ride.
It's funny, I never actually worked in Alaska for a full season, but I have traveled to about every major city up there during the 5 years I worked for Princess Tours and the 3 years I worked for Gray Line of Alaska (i.e. Holland America). That being said I don't have much personal knowledge of Aramark, but I now work with some of their HR folks and I really like them.
You should enjoy the Denali area. There are lots of cool people around and tons of fun stuff to do.

middle of the road bring a little of both the weather can change in 5 min without notice! but you really don't need tons of winter clothing. it can get pretty warn but plan of rain we do get it.
hey rose, the chalet is fun really great place. I work for Princess currently, its just down the road from the chalet and the dinner theater is most likely the greatest place there. Princess theater and the chalets theater work together alot to put on shows for the employees. I think you will enjoy the job alot!
