Hey Brian-I'm HERE!!!! Waiting at the airport for a pickup to lodge. I'll be there later on tonight, and cars you say?....Nice! I'll definitely give you a buzz when I get settled into my new digs and know what's happening with work. If you get a text or call from 360-609-2186 don't be alarmed it's just me!!!! Look forward to meeting on common ground!
A FOOT??? That's just crazy...and on the crazy side, we've been having tons of earthquakes here...little ones for the most part. Had a 4.9 last night. Nothing compared to the SF area one in 1989 that I was in...that was bad. I think it's all building up to a big one...hopefully I'll be out of here before that can happen! Anyhow, enjoy dinner, and pictures would be awesome! I'm heading out climbing today, trying to fit in as much as possible here. I've started to THINK about packing, but haven't even had the chance to think about classes ending...culinary is done, I just have 2 classes to finish up starting next week, so I should start to get some more free time. Enjoy, and I'll be there soon!
I looked at the site...it looks like I would have to stay until August 21st, and I can't do that as I have a wedding August 9th. Also, it looks like servers have to tip out 25% where I will only have to tip out 3% now. I will be ok money wise, and I will have plenty of time off to venture out and see the sights. I do plan on making a trip to come see you though. : )
yup it's a 100% thing, so I should be seeing you in a few weeks. I just don't know yet if I am staying through August or September yet. Your pictures are getting me excited to be there! Let Bob know I'll be emailing him my flight schedule soon.
Hey I leave for Alaska the 28th from Portland Oregon... I am flying... I will be working up at Mt. Mc Kinley Lodge for the summer... I am so excited!!! Anything you can tell me would be great... I am also looking for people that also will be working up there... chow for now!
Hi! I actually never worked for the conservation corps, I worked for the Student Conservation Association (SCA) doing trail work etc. It was a great experience, but the program I did was only for high school kids. They have some pretty cool internships available for non-high school aged people though.
Hey, thanks so much for the wonderful words of praise of the KPL! I can't wait to get there and see it for myself, I've seen the pics from my new boss and it looks f-ing AMAZING!!! As for your cocktail, I'll make it a stiffy and the first ones on me (if I'm allowed to do that?!) How's Gwins and your new digs? I hope you are getting all settled in nicely!!!
So...it's all but a done deal. I am going to just transfer with TGI Friday's where I work part time right now. They are going to help me find housing...but said something about one of the bartenders staying at a Hostel close by. Now I am getting excited!
