I caught a little cold right before leaving Alaska. Hopefully you'll escape it. The weather when you'll arrive is expected to be cool mid 80s with lows near 60. A couple of days ago it was 104.

The last week of guests is always a fun time...someplaces more than others. At the KL there is a group that last week that has been returning for years. I spent a more money in Waikiki than I originally planned. Hint: Don't down a couple of MaiTais before heading to the open air International Marketplace. In Vegas, I came very close to breaking even on the gambling part. Went to a show...had a great time overall.

I got to the ranch yesterday. Looking forward to meeting you in a couple of weeks!
It was laright, can't believe that it is almost over, wish I had more time to make more money but I am ready to go home. Hopefully I get to come back here next yr, but I am going to try to be the Kids Director next yr, less work and more pay lol... So what are you going to be doing down at the Kay El Bar??
Hey how was/is your season going? Ours is almost done, about 4 days left of guests then cleaning saddles and stacking hay. Have fun in Az, I am going a new route this winter, heading to Taos NM working in a ski shop.
I'm leaving Sheep Mountain in a little more than 3 weeks...on the 16th. First I'm taking a trip exploring the entire length of the Glenn Highway, then staying over night in Anchorage. I'm flying to Hawaii for a couple of nights, then to Las Vegas for a couple of nights. I'll get back on the ranch on the 22nd.
Cool. You miss a couple of things, but we will be really busy for awhile on the 10th. And the 11th will be relaxing...maybe a staff ride. Then we open on the 12th.
I haven't done much running this summer, so maybe the 5K is better. When we start early mornings/late evenings have good running temps...mid day it will be a bit toasty for awhile. I'm pretty sure Teri doesn't want to run farther than the 5, too. When do you plan on arriving in Wickenburg?
Hi Caitlin. Are you a runner? Teri and I are thinking about running aroad race in Phoenix. That's if business levels allow us to do so. Was wondering if you'd be interested?
I just did a 'good, bad, ugly' blog about last season at the Kay El Bar. We'll do a pasta bar once a week for dinner. There's also an Italian lunch...that might be pasta or pizza or...
That's great news! How do you you feel about missing real winter? So did you talk to Teri at all or just Joe? I've been making some changes to the menu. Anything your favorite?
Hi Caitlin, I've emailed Joe and Teri often about possible food changes, but I haven't talked to them about hiring. I know they were already hearing from several people for only a couple of openings. Did you ever get back to them?
The weather has been perfect but typical here. Pretty nice, good working weather through the day and cooling off pretty fast at night. But no storms as of yet, supposed to snow next week but i really hope that it holds off cuz I hate the snow. Well, have fun with all the kids stuff and if you need any ideas for the kids rodeo thing let me know i try to check my email at least once a week. Have a blast.
We finally made it to Jackson, and we passed through Dubois. Such a cute litle town. I love it here and now I dont want to leave lol.. Hope you are having fun in Dubios.
