Good morning Keith, thank you for checking in! I am loving my first season and safe to say have fallen in love with Vermont and the people.
I am enjoying the work, long hours, but enjoying it. The Beach family, from my prespective, are a delight to work for. As you said there are a lot of weddings, which I manage as banquet manager. We are now in social season so we are full family reunions and returning guests.
if you know of anyone still looking for work for the remainder of summer/fall we are still hiring for all positions.
Thank you for the feedback on giving up my home. It sounds doable, and will probably do so after I finish the summer/fall season at Basin Harbor. Hopefully I will have success finding a winter position that starts December/January.
Hey Keith - we're working on a few stories, and bloggers/writers/authors would like to hear from the coolest of the cool adventurous job seekers / employees. All the best, Patty@coolworks.com
Hey, I am new to coolworks, I have applied for a job at Rancho de los Caballeros. I actually got a call today but don't have a formal interview for a couple weeks, I'm assuming after the chat I had today I will most likely get the job. I read the blog you posted about your experience there. Just wondering if you have any advice for me! I have applied for the pantry or line cook position. Thanks!
Thanks Keith, nice to meet you! I get back from Taiwan next week and I will be heading to the north rim via West Yellowstone. And they've been getting snow like crazy. I hope to get to the North Rim a little early to check things out. How about you?
Sure will, it's nice to see other people who do the same as me instead of regular small town people. I usually head to Phoenix to the library on one of my days off to stay away from it. Oh also it's actually my first year at Los Cab, just so Jim knows, but I was very excited to be where it's nice in the winter I told everyone at Signal before I came here, lol.
Thats a crew!! LOL, I will have to stop by soon and say Hi, I know Jim from Signal this summer, I was at the Front Desk and he was in the Kitchen. I like that at Signal you always see everyone in the EDR :)
Keith--I have enjoyed your posts and photos over the summer. Hope you can keep it up while at your winter job.
I am just getting into the seasonal work world and hope to get my first job in Alaska in summer 2011. Really enjoy hearing about everyone's experiences.
Good luck on your trips.
