Thanks for the support! I spoke to the dept head and he told me to make a note of it on my application. I feel very positive, just not over confident, as we all have to go through the process. If I had stayed in my present dept I don't think I would have any worries.
Yeah, I was there sometime close to 11:10. The only one that really wanted to talk to me after I told them that I was more interested in future years was Sun Valley. Couldn't really blame them, most of them had several live prospects that they were dealing with at that time. So all I really did was look at the displays and pick up some copies of info if they had any.
Yeah, Ocean Reef is a big country club that atmosphere is around almost all country clubs. When I was up in Idaho I didn't manage to make it over to Sun Valley, and I'm not sure if Desert Mountain does housing, and I heard the Tahoe area is really nice too. This is my first season outside of the kitchen and I was also going to try to get a feel about if they would look at me in other areas too. I'm thinking about trying all the different areas except CDL driver and maintenance (I'm better at breaking things than fixing them)
Well i'm almost thinking the auto tech depending on where I find the job etc. I would like to put my time in the four wheeling world off rock crawling events and mud bogs . Then later on 3 or 4 years down the road open my own shop / parts store ( off road etc) That is where the auto tech would come into play etc. The truck driving would almost just be another job that pays descent right off the bat . So I dunno
yea I no that feeling . I could either way . If I go into trucking , I could go into the program right away and prolly have a trucking job with 2 months after I get home . Going the auto tech route would take a year or better ... Yea I miss most of the stuff back home more then I did last summer for some weird reason . I think I'm just getting burned out on the parks ..
I dunno it just seems to hit a boring spot in the season I guess . The pay check is not what I expected for weekly etc. So I'm just ready for it to be over I guess . Have decided this will be my last though. Need something more steady / pay . I'm thinking real hard about trucking .. A fair amount jobs are still being posted back home and start around 13 an hour or what not .. So have to see. I'm also tired of the dam wifi being shit among other things here .Lucky the softball league is starting soon so that should be fun . How are things in AK ?
i would love to go to denali but I actually just got a call back from bryce canyon hes checking my references so hopefully that will work out! I am hoping to do Denali next summer! Thank you though! :)
Hey Reggie, alaska this weekend.... So anyways....Are the laundry facilities coin operated or free? Do you know if the airport stays open all night. I might sleep in the aiport to cut costs from the hotel. Do you recall or remember where security stayed for housing, like close or far from the showers/bathrooms?
