Hello Again Amanda:
There are usually a number of good gigs in Skagway during the summer months. You did not say what it is you like to do....Good waitressing at The Sweet Tooth Cafe.....The Fish Company, Red Onion Saloon,The Pizza Company. Also, try connecting with Sockeye Cycle.....Leading bicycle runs down from the summit to Skagway.....It's really fun. Also, trying
for a ticket agent on the White Pass Train.....This is a good gig. There are several other positions that open up but you would need to be there in the
town to check them out for yourself. This usually starts happeneing the end
of May.
The season starts to move along around the middle of May until mid-Sept.
It's a fun place to be and I think you will enjoy it.
If there are any other ways I can help, don't hesitiate to contact me.My email....... seamielad@msn.com
Hopefully,I will see you in the small town when we arrive there.
Hello Amanda.....So sorry for the delay.I have been on the road alot.Have you made any decision on Skagway? I will share some things with you if you decide to go that way.
Where in the US do you live? I am down here in Tucson.....I have been to Skagway several summers and have a good idea of the places to look at for a job.
Let me know if you need some info.
Bye now.
James.

Depends on what you want to do, if you want to wait tables or bartend you can do pretty good. I would stay away from denali and the southern towns. Homer is great, Seward is nice as well. There are a lot of big corporate palces up here that seem like a good gig, but they charge so much for housing and food that you cant really get ahead. Look for places that dont charge for housing. Our bring a tent and camp all summer. The less you spend the more you can save.
