I was leaving Denali National Park by way of the Jonesville Trail and this mother moose and calf were right there. At first I was afraid she was going to lead the baby into the highway. Then I realized she was going to come back my way. She gave me the ear-sign and I backed away quickly.

It was zoomed, but not much. They are the same from the still shots. In the stills they were about 25 yards away. Then they started walking in the short area between the bike path and the highway. I was afraid they were going to try to cross the highway at that point. But they kept walking along the edge. I think you can hear me with a "hmmm" right before it ends. I realized she was getting really close, then when the young one ran up, they were maybe 10 feet and you can't see it but she just kind of looked at me and put her ears back and I backed up. She went back down the bike path and into the woods where that bench was. The young one followed.
