So do I, that is really all you can do when you live and work with the same people day in and day out...you have GOT to get away from all that...or else! Are you going to be applying to Sol Duc as well or are you sticking with just Kalaloch?

Thanks for your comments and encouragement Sara. Speaking of drama, there is always going to be some of that when you bring such a diverse group together. I'm not dramatic, but my reaction to problems on he job have been. I just take off when it gets to be too much.

Hey Jim,
I do love exploring and i'm so excited to start it again...my story at Sol Duc was great! I met some pretty awesome people, with whom i still keep in touch with! I heard this past year..which i did not attend, were more of a young age...so i'm sure drama was created! lol! but other than that the Olympic National Park is a great place to work...it is beautiful and you never tire of exploring your surroundings! I have been to Kalaloch...but only for an hour or so...I did see the rooms which you would be staying in, and they seemed really nice...the downside of living at the Duc are the dorms..but yea...Kalaloch is absolutely gorgeous I'm sure you would enjoy it there!

Hi Sara,
Isn't it exciting that we can start planning our summer? It'll be here before you know. Tell us about your experience at Sol Duc. Is it remote? How big is the work crew? I'm getting ready to put the finishing touches on my app. and I'm leaning toward wanting to be employed at Kalaloch. Have you visited it? If so, what was your impression? Jim

Anybody heading to Sol Duc this year? I was there in '07 and I thought I would head back over to Washington again this year...It would be awesome if you let me know!

It was the worst seasonal job I ever had. I actually have retired froms seasonal work do to this place.

If you like to party and can trust your FIVE roommates (in one room) to lock the door, you might like it

Anyone have any comments about the Kalaloch Lodge? Or about the other 2 Aramark properties in the Olympic Peninsula area? Thanks!
