I have lived and worked where I grew up in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. I lived in Michigan, Germany, England and New Mexico with my family. I did not work at that time but was a member of base organizations and club board member. I wrote a newsletter for 2 years. I have lived and worked in Albuquerque, NM, Mesa Verde and again in Pennsylvania then Back to Colorado where I've lived and worked in the Durango area up until this summer.
I'm in transition, at that fork in the road. I've been very fortunate to experience so much of what is good in life. First, being a mother. That has been #1. My dad worked for the airlines so I had a bit of great travel destinations visited at a young age. Egypt was my favorite.
For many years I was an Air Force wife and traveled with my family to new places meeting many friends and learning new cultures. Living in Europe for 8 years was priceless. There have been many changes in my life and I'm OK with taking off on my own on adventures and seeking new places to live and explore. If I have to go alone...I won't miss it for that reason. I've traveled most of the Southwest that way. My jobs have included quite a variety of duties. Mesa Verde was my only seasonal job but I loved it. I've been in only one place (apt/home)for 3 1/2 years over the last 28. An RV is my plan for the future. Working different seasonal jobs would be a challenge as well as a never ending experience.
I have been a volunteer with Adaptive Sports Association and completely enjoyed the people and purpose.
I love taking photographs everywhere I go. I love horses and had my own..my best buddy. Hiking and kayaking are my favorite activities but anything outdoors draws my attention.
Thank you for your reply and input. I was hoping to learn of other travel-seasonal employment resources besides Coolworks & Craigslist. Any future travel plans for next year? Any other US states/cities you highly recommend for travel?
My name is Jocelyn. I'm new to Coolworks, and love to learn from other world travellers along with life lessons. I'm curious, would you know of other resources for seasonal/ temporary positions that's a good fit for travelling? Where will be a great place to start looking?
