The only place I would not live is Mesa Verde unless you have your own RV.

Debra, I enjoyed both.. both have a wonderful atmosphere and the housing was sufficient, maybe you should check out the tourist steamboats on the Mississippi - I work there too and it was fun.  Most everyplace I have been has had a two day off schedule unless they were really short handed.  I would think you wouldn't have to work but five days a week and be sure to take your toys with you, i.e., kayak! there is always water nearby.

Lake McDonald was absolutely beautiful as was the other lakes.  Lake McDonald also seems to be the place for some of the older crowd in Glacier.  Housing is different there too.

In the Tetons, I was employed year round so had an apartment across from the older folks dorm, but they did seem to have lots to do together or just going on the adventures that was offered by the lodge.  You will have to try it and if you don't like it - well, you can always leave early.

I also worked in Ketchikan, AK as a tour driver guide and that is where I made the most money, but it was 10 hour days driving allot of the time now where as the island only has 32 miles of paved road.  On the other hand, I did rent a room from a local rather than live in the company housing and did okay.

You just have to step away from your comfort zone and think about where you want to go and what jobs are available you want to do.. Our employee chiefs/cooks we had were awesome (most of the time).....

Go, live large and if you have an RV that you can live in, you will be so much better.. lol.
