Thanks for being here! The six of us at CoolWorks welcome you and wish you success in finding your Jobs in Great Places®!

It is funny to think that for the past several years, I have heard the call of migration of seasonal work when I've been sitting at my desk watching the ducks and gees flying overhead.  Now, I can join for the coming year and I find my heart is singing with excitement.  Where to go? what to choose? should I go back into desk sitting, or drive a big old coach, or choose something different?  I think I'm just happy to know that when people start heading out to the various places, I will be going too.

Oh, for those of you who are traveling by car or RV and need a way to pay for your trip, have you thought about carrying pets for  This is the way I pay for the gas and even sometimes for my hotel rooms.

Anyway - whatever you do, be safe and have fun this summer... I'll be listening again for the fall retreat.. lol.

There is an ending here... After arriving at Mesa Verde Aramark last March, I worked hard but had forgotten that I had also applied for a job with the US Government. That job came through and in May 2015, I move back to Arkansas to work for the Corps of Engineers. Met alot of nice people in Mesa Verde and someday in the future, I will return to the call of seasonal work.

Thanks for the tips, Ann! I will be definitely looking into that. I think it's a great idea. :)

Yes you can.   Just make sure your profile is created and ready to go.   Unfortunately, Uship does not make the shipper choose you even if you are lowest builder.  Do not go more than an hour's drive out of your way. Figure out what your g a s mileage will cost you by using I usually charge .36 a mile.  You will need to find your comfort level but My carries have averaged four each trip... or enough to pay for my gas and hotel rooms.   Let me know if I can help you further...

Hi Ann, I'd love to learn a bit more about UShip? Are you able to find pets to transport for every trip? I would love to cut my fuel and hotel costs.

Decision made - I will be at Mesa Verde working for Aramark as their HR Assistant/Administrative Assistant.

A social network for those who want to compare and share their work and life experiences in great places.
