Living & Working in Great Places
Thanks for being here! The six of us at CoolWorks welcome you and wish you success in finding your Jobs in Great Places®!
I have just under two weeks left of what is quite possibly the last seasonal job I will work. After about nine years of seasonal work off and on, I have to say, it's been fun, challenging, interesting, educational, and overall life changing in a positive way. I have coolworks to thank for the majority of the job leads I pursued. I will miss seasonal work, but I've come to a point in my life where it's time for a different kind of change.
I like to check weather forecasts a lot, especially near the end of a season. Looking at the weather of the location I'd be living in for the next season always seemed to bring promise of adventure and excitement. Once I'd get to the new location, I'd check the weather of the place that I recently left, which often times would cause reminiscence, but also an accomplished feeling of progression.
I think everyone should try seasonal work. Like the weather, it seems to take you where the wind blows. Nothing is ever perfect, but I was able to turn lemons to lemonade at times. I often think of that speech that Rocky Balboa gives to his son about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. I am looking forward, and moving forward, and the weather will still be of interest.
So before this becomes an exceedingly anecdotal pedantic rambling, I'll say see ya later, I'll be back now and then to lend a comment or two, and don't forget to check the weather, because the blue sky eventually returns.
