My Yellowstone Summer is slipping away

Only a few days left and my employment agreement will be fulfilled....I will have done my part and DNC theirs. What remains is all the memories of great times, high adventures, new friends, strange people and ideas, humorous moments, and all the many wonders that is Yellowstone. I will do a wrap up blog later, but for now I am just swimming in all the emotions that boil up at the end of a season in a place like this. I am ready to go home and see my wife, children, and grandchildren .... I have missed them terribly .... but I will always remember all the grand days and nights in Wyoming and Montana. What glorious places I have been .... way beyond my expectations. If you are reading this ... please realize the most precious thing you have is your time ... and how you spend what time you have left in this world defines your life. Find the time to come to places like Yellowstone and spend a few weeks rather than two or three days. It will transform you and enrich you in ways that I can't explain. My hope is that next summer can be like this one was. Happy adventures to all my CW friends.

Hi Rebecca ... I think the winter jobs in Yellowstone are fairly limited, and most are filled by folks already there from the previous summer season. The Coolworks team can probably give you more specific advise and suggestions.

Do they hire for the winter? I have been working in Alaska this last summer and it's been wonderful but now I have to find a winter job now that the season is over.

Bravo! Well said. Yellowstone is definately one of my first choices for the 2010 Season and for time well spent.
