Thanks for being here! The six of us at CoolWorks welcome you and wish you success in finding your Jobs in Great Places®!

I AM POSTING THIS BLOG TO LET PEOPLE KNOE,, CURRENTLY I WORK AT BIG SKY RESORT,,
WHEN I FIRST APPLIED FOR THE JOB THE MANAGER IN MY DEPARTMENT SOLD ME ON THE IDEAL IT IS A GREAT PLACE TO WORK' SO I LEFT A JOB MAKING MORE MONEY BECAUSE I WAS TOLD IT WAS VERY EMPLOYEE ORIENTED''
I WAS VERY EXCITED WHEN I GOT TO BIG SKY MONTANA, VERY QUICKLY I GAINED THE CONFIDENCE OF MY DEPARTMENT MANAGER AND WAS DELIGATING ATHURITY TO OTHERS TO GET THE WORK OF THE DAY DONE, BUT I SUSTAINED AN INJURY ON THE JOB AND THEIR WHO DEMEMIER TOWARDS ME WENT FROM FRIENDLY TO BARLEY COMMUNICATING WITH ME AT ALL.
THERE ARE ALOT OF ISSUES HERE AT BIG SKY'' THINGS THEY DON'T TELL YOU BEFORE YOU EXCEPT EMPLOYMENT: HERE ARE SOME OF THEM. EVERY THING UP HERE IS VERY OVER PRICED , THE HOUSING AT THE MOUNTAIN LODGE IS VERY HOT , LOCATED NEXT TO A BAR CALLED THE BLACK BEAR, YOU CAN EXPECT TO KEPT AWAKE ALL HOURS OF THE NIGHT AS HOUSING MANAGER WILL NOT DO ANY THING TO HELP WITH ANY HOUSING ISSUES, NOR WILL THE HUMAN RESOURSES MANAGER """"" DON'T GET MEWRONG I LOVE MONTANA BUT UP HERE IT IS LIKE A BIG CULT' IF YOU ARE NOT IN A MANAGEMENT POSSITION OR FULL TIME YEAR ROUND EMPLOYEE YOU ARE BASICALLY THROW AWAY TRASH TO THESE PEOPLE,,
I AM STILL EMPLOYEED HERE UNTIL APRIL OF THIS YEAR, AND AM DEALING WITH ALOT, SINSE MY INJURY THEY ( CUT ) MY HOURS IN HALF AND I STILL PAY FULL HOUSING COST, THEY HAVE DONE ABSOLUTLY NOTHING TO HELP IN THESE DIFFICULT TIMES::::: SO IF YOU ARE JUST WANTING TO PARTY, SKI THEN THIS IS THE PLACE BUT IF YOU ARE TRYING TO GET BY AND HAVE SOME PEACE OF MIND THEN I WOULD RECOMEND YOU AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLEAGUE''
THEY NEED TO REALIZE THE EMPLOYEES ARE THE ONES THAT RUN THIS PLACE AND TREAT THEN LIKE HUIMAN BEINGS, AND DO THE RIGHT THING,,

Having spent a season as sous chef at the Summit, I feel your pain. I was on the unpleasant end of the Boyne shaft also. But, I just looked the other way. I stayed with Boyne for the summer season in Harbor Springs. Big sky is not for the type who is looking for peace of mind, nor are most ski resorts. But look out your window at Lone Peak, there is a great degree of peace in that. The season is almost over. I would give anything to see that area again. I have quit seasonal work now and have semi-settled down. Despite the bullshit, I would give anything to be where you are.
