Hi ya MoonBeaM, I tried to send you an e-mail on myspace but it got lost somehow. So I decided to post a blog with the same stuff in it. Its just some of the advice I would have given over that beer we never had. Have a great trip, see ya out there!

Well I'm not sure about the concert, but I might make it. Friday would be good too, actually you would be saving me from another poker night with the guys.

MoonBeaM?? I love it, ya sound like a hippie chick with that nickname! I saw your post too, I'm sure your BF would be able to visit as long as any roomie you might have is OK with it. If not there is a ton of camping in the area outside the park, if he is on a budget. Oh and it looks like my trip is off this weekend so I'm free to get together.

Hi Gena,
I was wondering if you would like to have lunch one day or have a couple of beer one night to talk about the trip? Its coming up quick, are you excited?

I'm leaving at the end of April too, no certain day I just need to be there by the 1st of may. Its about a 36-40 hour drive, a little under 2500 miles. I've done the drive many times over the last few years, to the point where I can drive for 20+ hours before I have to sleep. But I wouldn't expect anyone else to drive like that. What kinda car do you drive? Is it reliable?

That really doesn't sound like a bad idea. Its easier to ask forgiveness than permission. Just make sure you have a plan B;copies of your resume to find work, and a way to secure some housing. Usually both of these can be found in West Yellowstone or one of the other satelite towns. Are you driving out? I am and I would love to find someone to convoy with, my truck isn't as reliable as she use to be.

Just outta curiosity, let me know how your phone call goes. And remember there are jobs outside the park that would be more understanding.

Hi Gena, Nice to see another Georgia native heading west. I've been out there a few years now. The issue with the dreads tends to break down like this: Usually you can find work if its "back of the house" or out of sight of the guest, but if they have contact with you on a regular basis you'll probably want a "square doo" to make better tips!I'm actually gack in Gwinnett right now visiting the folks, let me know if ya have any more inquires.

Hey now Gena,
this will be my first season at Yellowstone, so I can't say for sure. As per the information I received it sounded like they didn't want kids with hair/tattoos working FOH, which will be alright with me as I'll be in the kitchen.

I have seen pictures of dreadies on the recreation page so we do get hired. I'm sure if they had a problem with it they could put you somewhere else, but you may be looking for that extra server $$$? Ken Horner know a lot about Xanterra stuff, check him out.

Sorry not very helpful, hope to see you up at Yellowstone this Summer :)
